    I've included a link to my photobucket, which has both a video which shows the error happening, as well as a picture of both the first, properly working frame as well as the other, discolored frames. Both have the palette tool displayed next to it, if that's any help. I hope the information above is of some use, or will at least help you determine where things are going awry. If there's anything else you need to know, etc., please do reply, and I'll try to get back to you with that info as soon as possible. Also, thanks for taking the time to try and help me out, you're the best!

    This one should work. I'll try to explain this as clearly as possible, but I'll apologize in advance in case I forgot something stupid.

    So, I ran into the problem you described in the thread: using the backsprite hack caused the opposing trainers and pokemon's palettes to become the same as the palette of the custom backsprite. So I implemented your fix, which worked perfectly in the sense that the opposing trainers no longer glitch out. However, when the player character goes to throw his pokeball (frames 2-5), these frames don't use the proper palette. From what I've seen using VBA's palette tool, I can't seem to pinpoint a single specific slot; there's some colors that don't seem to belong in any single slot together, but maybe my eyes are just too tired right now.

    I might have guessed something was wrong with the sprites I used for that part of the animation, but they worked well enough before I implemented the fix from the thread, so I'm guessing that's not the case. Also, they show up properly in NSE 2.0, and as it wasn't a matter of simply shuffling the colors in the palette around, I concluded that it can't be the image itself. and I've by quadruple-checked JPAN's manual to make sure I've set up the table properly, etc. I've also had a similar issue where the game didn't like a palette for some reason with JPAN's overworld hack where simply inserting an identical copy of the palette and using that one instead of the original fixed the problem; that did not work here, unfortunately. Finally, I did just moments ago notice the fix for the BIOS problem, as from what you said in the thread I gathered those were connected, and thought this might help perhaps. Instead, after following the instructions there the player's sprite gives an error (presumably), returning only colored vertical bars.

    Hey Karatekid, I know you're probably busy with other stuff, but I've been doing some hacking recently, and I've run into a problem with regards to something you addressed here http://pokemonhackersonline.com/showthread.php?t=1418 (sorry, can't seem to find a way to shorten that link in any way). Specifically, the fix you provide for the backsprite hack works for the first frame of the animation, but once the player sprite starts throwing its pokeball, the sprite suddenly starts to use a different palette (I believe it's whatever is in slot #7 at that moment). Is there something simple/stupid I'm missing here that you know of, since you did some research into it already? Regardless, I'd be very grateful if you could give me a hand in this, because I haven't yet ventured into ASM hacking in any way, so I really don't know how I would go about looking into what's going wrong/getting it to work. Hope to hear back from you!

    I used the Item Manager and it worked properly

    The problem was what you told me. You should put it on the tutorial to avoid more issues like this one xD.

    We have to set the Object Type on the second screen on Item Manager to 01 Out-Of-Battle. If we don't do that it will do nothing

    Yeah, I tried in offsets after 800000 too and still getting the same... What else could be the problem?? I've tried to use other evolutionary stones and they work properly :S
